You know that feeling of getting something in the mail
When that thing you have been waiting for finally arrives
I love that feeling, it’s like self bought Christmas every time.
And when it gets there sooner than you thought, even better.
It’s always exciting, something new, always seems better.
But this can be the issue
This is how we get program hoping or diet or whatever you want to call it
The next big thing comes up and it’s like “aww shiny” and we are attracted to it and drop what we are doing.
I get it, I am the same.
I am forever buying new books, programs, courses etc. wanting the new, but have to stop and make sure that I finish my previous one first before moving on.
And this is the same with fitness
When you start a program, it can get hard and sometimes boring and then you get sucked in by the hype of something else and switch over to it.
You must avoid this at all costs.
Because standardly it takes about 12 weeks for anything to happen
Not always, but a good portion of the time.
That’s why if you change every couple of weeks you are never going to see the results you truly desire.
So my advice for you is generally speaking stick with something for at least 12 weeks.
If it isn’t delivering what you desire after this, then change, find something new.
But constantly hoping from program to program is just going to leave you frustrated and not where you want to be.
