The Detox Paradox

Now everyone has heard of detoxing

Juice detox

Lemon detox

Liver cleanse etc.

There are 1001 options you can take on this; the question really is though, is it worth it?

Short answer no

Focusing on just “detoxing” is a great way to break down muscle and not as much fat

Because you don’t have any protein, especially one’s like juice detox’s are massively high in sugar because it removes all the fiber.

So they aren’t something I would recommend.

But the principal is good because when you lose weight you release toxins into your body

Especially if you have been eating crap for a long period of time, and this is your first dive into losing weight and eating healthy.

This can often result in feeling really crap for the first couple of weeks, headaches etc. as your body clears out all the rubbish and toxins in your system

This can be a very unpleasant experience and a great deterrent from continuing

But never fear I have the answer

Now it’s pretty nasty to be honest

But a few seconds of disgusting to feel heaps better over all is worth while

Now this isn’t just for when you first start it’s something I recommend doing over all.

I personally do it everyday.

So make yourself a shot of hot water, a squirt of lemon juice, a tea spoon of pink rock salt and a splash of apple cider vinegar first thing in the morning.

As I said it isn’t nice, but this will do wonders for your body

Extra minerals, help cleanse the body, help digestion, and enzyme support.

And it will stop your body feeling like crap, I think that’s a worth while trade off.

And if you are sick, adding that and some coconut oil will have you back on your feet in no time.

So that’s all I have for you today,
